About WATFAA

The Western Australian Trout & Freshwater Angling Association is an organisation dedicated to the promotion of freshwater angling within Western Australia.

The objectives of the Association are as follows;-
  1. The encouragement of the art of freshwater angling.


  2. The fostering and encouragement of a spirit of sportsmanship in freshwater angling.


  3. The promotion of social activities amongst freshwater anglers.


  4. The encouragement of the conservation of freshwater angling waters & fish habitats.


  5. The working in co-operation with Government Departments & other bodies, kindred Associations & persons for the furtherance of the Associations objectives.


  6. The maintenance & care of fish stocks in streams and other freshwaters by stocking with trout & other suitable species.
